TGIF $25 Contest - What if you could buy a Whole New Stash

It's Friday! We were tipped off by a loyal reader that our friends over at FB have started shutting down fan pages for running contests through their site. We don't want to disappoint you by having to stop giving away diaper dollars to our cloth diapering boutique, so we'll just move the festivities to our blog!

Win $25 to eco-POLITAN this week. Random.org will select a winning comment from this thread.

If the sky was the limit and you had to do it all over again, which cloth diapers would you buy and why?

  1. I think I would get 36 nb aios. Then I would get 20 BG Elementals, 8 sized Charlie Banana's in each size, 2 dozen GMD yellow and red prefolds, and 2 dozen all cotton snappiable fitteds. I'd also get several interlock wool covers and some thirsties and rumparooz covers. Oh, and 10 or so hemp inserts.

  2. I reviewed the rumparooz pocket diaper with snaps. :)

  9. I'm pretty happy with our Rumparooz and Happy Heiny's, but I think I'd get several different other kinds to test them out. I love that the OS last the whole diapering experience.. but I think I would have liked fitted so that they are a little trimmer on our chunky monkey.

  11. I would get all Bum Genius. I love the Fuzzibunz colors but BG are our go to for no leaks and the only ones daycare can really use because of the velcro (snaps just don't work there!).

  15. I initially started out with 12 fuzzibunz, and while I still love them, I wish I had branched out more! If I could do it all over again, I'd get some prefolds, flats, fitteds, and covers and not just stick to pocket diapers.

  22. Oh gosh, I'm not entirely sure which brands I'd go with (more than one since my twins are built so differently), but I would definitely ditch the aplix and go with snaps ONLY!

  30. I would stick with prefolds and covers. I would start from birth and not at three months so I can use the smaller sizes. I love how quick and easy it is and our wash/dry routine doesn't take forever.

  37. I'd stick with my Rumparooz with snaps in every color and pattern they make! I might also like to try a sized AIO to see how much it reduces bulk on her little butt.

  40. I just wish I knew which kind to get for my first cding experience, lol! Guess I'll have to figure it out soon as I'm due next month!

    ReplyDelete
  41. I am pretty happy with most of my one size pockets, but have been curious to try some prefolds/fitted with covers(especially for newborn), along with the Grovia hybrid as an option. Would also want some hemp or cotton inserts as an alternative to microfiber.

  42. I second the a little of everything. I would do newborn diaper trial (Nifty Nappy) and then I would buy some prefolds with Thirsties covers. I would add some AppleCheeks, Rumparooz and Oh Katy pockets. Then the last thing I would add would be some nice soft and absorbant fitteds - Babykicks? - with wool and fleece covers. I would also add an assortment of inserts.
